State Child Care Agencies Address Loss of ARPA Funds for Industry Federal funds from the American Rescue Plan to help support the child care industry ended on Sept. 30. Without those funds, researchers in June projected the closure of 70,000 programs, along with the loss of 232,000 related jobs.
